About

About Molten Coast

An artist-led glass studio shaped by movement, material and place.

Molten Coast is the studio of glass artist and educator Matthew Szidik.

Matthew's practice spans sculptural glass, functional work, lighting, wearable art, installations, demonstrations and teaching. His work explores the relationship between glass, movement, color, light and the natural world.

Every piece begins by hand. Variations in shape, color and movement are not imperfections to eliminate; they are part of the language of the work.

Molten Coast was created as a place for that work to live, evolve and connect with the people and spaces it is made for.
